We are Very Good

Our Counseling Office

Welcome to Our Very Good Counseling Office

While we provide online counseling and therapy throughout Florida, Fort Myers is truly our home base. Very Good Counseling was founded in Fort Myers, Florida, and the majority of our therapists also live in the area. As a result, we provide a counseling space in our Fort Myers office for in-person sessions.

As the popularity of online therapy grew, we debated the benefits and drawbacks of maintaining an in-person office. And the decision was simple for us. We recognize the importance of face-to-face communication. As a result, we’ve kept a physical office and done everything we could to make your visit as pleasant as possible.

How to get to our office in Fort Myers, FL

Our counseling office is located at 1342 Colonial Blvd, directly beside the Midpoint Bridge connecting Cape Coral to Fort Myers. We are in the Key West Professional Center near the Broadway Palm Theater. It’s just past the Alliance of the Arts and directly across the street from the YMCA.

We are in a GREY building labeled H. Please feel free to park in any of the Visitor parking spaces right outside the building (covered parking is for the business owners).

When you come into the building, go to the second level. Our office is Suite H64. Please come on in, have a seat, and your therapist will come out to greet you at your assigned time. We look forward to seeing you!

Please note that our in-person counseling office is only about 5 minutes from Bishop Verot High School, Fort Myers Country Club, Edison Mall, and across the street from Fort Myers YMCA. If you’re coming from Cape Coral, it’s a short drive if you take Veterans Parkway.

If you’re coming from South Cape Coral, taking Cape Coral Bridge and turning left on McGregor Blvd only takes about 10 minutes. For our North Fort Myers clients, taking 41 Bridge near Downtown Fort Myers will only add about five minutes to your trip.

A Safe & Comfortable Counseling Office

We believe that the entire process of counseling plays a part in your healing including the physical space you are in when speaking to your therapist. Therefore, our hope is that moment you walk into your office you will feel at peace.

Can’t make it to our Fort Myers, FL office?

While we take great pride in our physical space and enjoy seeing clients in the office, we recognize that many people these days prefer to meet with a therapist online. That is why our therapists have spent time and effort learning how to provide the best online counseling services possible.

In fact, all of our counseling services, including EMDR Therapy, are now available online. We use a secure video (HIPPA-compliant) platform and make every effort to give you as comfortable an experience as possible, even when you’re attending online therapy.

If you are going to meet with a therapist online, we recommend that you create a comfortable environment for yourself. It is critical that you meet with your therapist in a location that provides complete privacy. You might also consider what else might make you feel more at ease.

Sitting at your desk and staring at a huge pile of work that needs to be done, for example, may not make you feel as relaxed as choosing a comfortable spot in your living room.

We can meet with you for therapy online if you live anywhere in the state of Florida.

IF YOU ARE HAVING AN EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 911 or 988 (National Mental Health Emergency Line)

If you need non-emergency immediate assistance, please visit Suicide Prevention Lifeline to find more support.

Not to brag but…

we’re Very Good.
